"I have been searching for an affordable, high-quality and easy
to use product to web enable my iSeries data for several years.
After trials of most every possibility, I found WOW. I was
"wowed" by my ability to develop web applications in a
fraction of the time it took to develop on the green-screen
applications. I was up and running within minutes, and developed
my first application within an hour.
I have had the product about 6 months now. During this time, I have
implemented a complete online ecommerce application allowing consumers
to create rental contracts over the web - all utilizing my iSeries
databases from my back-end ERP system. This system includes taking
confidential information over SSL, emails to acknowledge orders and complex
data table driven logic. All I needed to know was SQL. I have also developed
an intranet portal with over 50 applications. Those applications are a
combination of complex data-drill-down inquiries, data entry, file
maintenance and transaction processing. I am now incorporating stored
procedures to utilize RPG logic automatically. I am also developing
applications that read from both a MySql and iSeries database within the
same application.
The people at PlanetJ are smart and very accommodating. With their help,
I have also had the opportunity to learn and code Java and JSPs within a
couple of weeks - that foreign land of Java was not so scary.
I am sold - I have been in this business for over 30 years and never have
I seen a product that makes me more productive and provides my company such
power.
